These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EmailChecker (the "Service"), operated by EmailChecker ("we", "us"). By connecting an email account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
EmailChecker lets an authorized admin connect email accounts (Gmail, Outlook/Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, iCloud, or other IMAP providers) and view a consolidated, searchable report of Inbox and Spam/Junk mail for those accounts, synced on a recurring schedule. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is collected and how it is used.
2. Eligibility and authorization to connect an account
Important- You must be legally authorized to connect any email account you add to the Service — either because it is your own account, or because you have the account owner's explicit permission to access and sync it.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of any credentials you provide and for keeping them up to date (e.g. reconnecting after a password change or a revoked OAuth grant).
- You must not use the Service to access any mailbox you are not authorized to access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to access, monitor, or export mail from an account without proper authorization.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service or its syncing infrastructure.
- Use the Service in a way that violates the terms of service of Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple, or any other connected mail provider.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including surveillance of individuals without their knowledge where such consent is legally required.
4. Account connections and revocation
You can disconnect a mail account from the Service at any time, and you can independently revoke the Service's access from your mail provider's own security settings (for example, Google Account → Security → Third-party access). Revoking access stops all future syncing for that account; previously synced data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Service availability
The Service depends on third-party providers (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple, and other IMAP servers) being available and your credentials/tokens remaining valid. We do not guarantee uninterrupted syncing — a provider outage, expired token, or revoked permission can cause a temporary sync failure, which the Service will attempt to retry automatically.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that all mail will be synced without delay.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EmailChecker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
8. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify or discontinue features of the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account found to violate these Terms, including unauthorized access to a mailbox.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, as applicable in the State of Tamil Nadu, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the applicable courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
